Position Description:
CGI Federal is actively seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Transition System Engineer to join our team. The Transition System Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing the technical aspects of the transition process for projects involving systems integration and complex onboarding of external systems that consume and provide data via a variety of machine and human interfaces. This role ensures a seamless transition of systems and processes maintaining functionality and optimizing performance during the transition period.
This position is located in our Fairfax VA office; however a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Transition Planning and : Develop and implement detailed transition plans to ensure all technical aspects of the transition are addressed effectively. Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to align on transition activities and timelines.
System Integration: Oversee the integration of new systems with existing infrastructure ensuring compatibility and functionality. Coordinate configuration testing and troubleshooting to address any issues that arise during the transition.
Technical Support: Provide technical support throughout the transition phase addressing any operational challenges and ensuring system stability. Collaborate with IT teams to resolve technical issues swiftly and efficiently.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive documentation of transition processes system configurations and technical resolutions. Report progress and status updates to project managers and stakeholders regularly.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks associated with system transitions and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Implement risk management plans to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders including project managers technical leads and external partners. Ensure all parties are informed of transition progress and any technical issues.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or a related field
810 years experience as a Systems Engineer preferably within a large and complex project environment.
Proven experience in transition management.
Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure system interfaces data integrations and surrounding concepts.
Demonstrated experience in designing developing and deploying largescale systems and applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities with a focus on delivering highquality solutions.
Desired qualifications/nonessential skills required:
Masters degree is in a relevant field.
Certifications in Google Cloud Platform
Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies is highly desirable.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for meritbased performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88200.00 $173500.00.
