Job Description
Engineering/Engineering Technology Internship
Join T. Baker Smith for an opportunity to gain realworld experience working alongside a team of engineering professionals for mentorship and professional development.
Your Opportunity:
- Assist in the development design and Coordination of projects.
- Develop feasible design alternatives and compare significant parameters.
- Identify and analyze the principal design features and evaluate potential design alternatives.
- Assist in the development of detailed plans specifications reports schedules and cost estimates with project team.
- Produce and revise drawings sketches and plans in accordance with project standards.
- Review and analyze field notes data and calculations.
- Research specifications and materials.
- Expand your knowledge of equipment techniques procedures and regulations.
- Participate in professional development and training.
- Acquire field experience while observing client sites under construction.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Actively enrolled students in their sophomore junior or senior level classes pursuing an engineering or engineering technology degree
- Ability to read analyze and interpret drawings and the most complex documents.
- Ability to operate computer using technical software which includes computer aided drafting and other applications spreadsheets and other business software.
- AutoCAD Micro Station Inventor or Solid works experience is a plus!
- Excellent communication and diplomacy skills.
