Organization Overview:The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are wellestablished Manhattan communitybased agencies that support services to approximately 30000 New Yorkers. We are two of New York Citys leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children youth and families homeless individuals and older adults throughout Manhattan and New York City. The Isaacs Center focuses primarily on the needs of children and lowincome families outofschool and outofwork youth and aging New Yorkers. We operate at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville and seek to deliver programs that are impactful innovative and intergenerational.

Program Description: Goddard Riverside is a wellestablished Manhattan communitybased agency with an annual operating budget of approximately $50 million. Goddard Riverside is one of New York Citys leading human service organizations meeting the basic needs of children youth and families homeless people and older adults across Manhattan and New York City.

Position Summary: The Education and Workforce Development Department is seeking an experienced dynamic and highly focused individual(s) to serve as the founding Manager of Participant Support for the Train and Earn Program located within Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center. This role operates under the direction of the Director of Education and Workforce and is responsible for providing encouraging participant engagement and retention through case management and assistance services for young adults pursuing education and employment opportunities. The Manager will focus on the development of referrals resources and networks that will support participants over time ultimately yielding successful outcomes leading to longterm success.

Schedule: MondayFriday 35 hours per week

Salary Range: $71000 $80000

Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salaryoffer will be basedonthe candidates number of years experience in the exact orcomparableposition and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.

Roles Responsibilities and Essential Duties

Supervision and Management 30

  • Manage the performance and development of Case Managers
  • Provide regular supervision guidance and support to ensure effective case management services.
  • Review case notes treatment plans and participant progress to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Facilitate team meetings and coordinate workloads to ensure efficiency.
  • Support professional development through training and mentoring.

Biopsychosocial Assessments and Treatment Planning 25

  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments for participants as needed.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with SMART goals for qualifying participants.
  • Assist Case Managers in developing and reviewing treatment plans.

Counseling Case Management Oversight and Participant Support 15

  • Provide weekly or biweekly counseling sessions for qualifying participants.
  • Respond to participants needs related to mental health substance use behavioral issues and social services.
  • Offer shortterm interventions and ongoing support.
  • Support Case Managers in addressing complex participant needs.
  • Ensure participants receive individualized case management services to achieve selfsufficiency.
  • Identify and mitigate barriers related to economics education and employment.
  • Assist participants in navigating complex systems such as healthcare education and financial services.
  • Support Case Managers in delivering effective participant services.

Documentation and Reporting 15

  • Maintain detailed case notes and treatment plans in accordance with funder and agency policies.
  • Track participant interactions and progress using case management tools.
  • Oversee Case Managers documentation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage collection and distribution of program outcomes and statistical data for reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with program standards and government contract reporting

Workshop Facilitation 10

  • Conduct social and educational workshops for participants on relevant topics (e.g. mental health financial literacy and employment readiness).
  • Support Case Managers in developing and facilitating participant workshops.

Community Partnerships and Referrals 10

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with communitybased organizations.
  • Track internal and external referrals to ensure participants receive appropriate support.
  • Develop partnerships to expand available resources and referral options for participants.
  • Provide guidance to case managers on how to effectively leverage community resources

Educational Requirements and Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
  • At least three 3 years of successful experience in social services youth development or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • SIFI (Seminar in Field Instruction) certified
  • Previous experience with case management within DYCD programs
  • Experience working in nonprofit

Knowledge Skill and Abilities

  • Working Knowledge: Sufficient familiarity with workforce development career readiness job placement processes and the employment barriers young adults face.
  • General Knowledge: City systems such as public assistance programs child welfare services education systems and affordable housing resources.
  • Thorough Knowledge: Case management principles and practices including developing case plans documenting case notes and facilitating youth development strategies. Workshop development and group facilitation techniques for employment financial literacy and social interaction. Microsoft Office products including Word Excel and Outlook
  • Comprehensive Knowledge: Service coordination and advocacy for youth navigating complex systems. Database management systems (Salesforce DYCD Connect) for tracking client progress and program outcomes. Best practices in supporting young adults with employment education financial literacy and overcoming systemic barriers.
  • Skills: Case Management Relationship Building Service Coordination Time Management Communication Collaboration/Teamwork Writing Proficiency

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • You may be required to lift up to 25lbs or less.
  • Standing for extended periods while facilitating workshops and events
  • Environment: The role involves working in an office setting program sites and occasionally in the community. Work may be conducted both inperson and virtually.
  • Emotional Demands: The position involves working with participants who may be experiencing personal social or economic challenges. The Case Manager must be prepared to handle emotionally charged situations and support individuals facing mental health concerns trauma and systemic barriers.
  • Stress Factors: This role requires managing multiple cases meeting deadlines and adapting to evolving participant needs which may contribute to periods of high stress.
  • Mental Health Awareness: The organization encourages maintaining mental wellbeing and offers resources or support programs for staff mental health including supervision counseling resources or wellness initiatives.
