Job Description
Job Summary:
The Night Auditor at Courtyard by MarriottNiagara Falls is a crucial member of the hotel team responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a positive and memorable experience for hotel guests. This individual will handle all guest interactions and inquiries assist with checkins and checkouts and provide general assistance and support to guests during their stay. The Night Auditor will also work closely with other hotel departments to ensure seamless coordination of guest a Night Auditor you will be responsible for accurately balancing and reconciling the hotels daily transactions and assisting our guests with any inquiries or concerns during the overnight hours.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a fulltime hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry offering a competitive compensation package of $15.50 to $17 per hour. Employees will be paid on a weekly basis and will also be eligible for various benefits including healthcare paid time off and hotel disounts at Marriott hotels worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts nightly audit and reconciles all accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions
- Handles all cash check and credit card transactions during the overnight hours
- Assists guests with checkins and checkouts as well as any inquiries or requests they may have during their stay
- Communicates with other hotel departments to ensure a smooth and seamless guest experience
- Handles any guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and efficiency
- Monitors the hotels security cameras and takes action if any issues arise
- Completes daily reports and distributes them to the appropriate departments
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager or General Manage
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree in hospitality or related field preferred
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings weekends and holidays
- Proficient computer skills including experience with hotel reservation systems
- High school diploma or equivalent require
- Some college coursework in hospitality or accounting preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong mathematical and computer skills required
- Familiarity with Opera PMS system is a plus
- Must be able to work overnight shifts and weekends
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Detailoriented and able to work efficiently under minimal supervision
- Fluency in English; additional language skills a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
