Pool Technician
The Pool Technician is responsible for the daytoday maintenance and operation of all swimming pools spas and associated equipment. This role ensures water quality safety and cleanliness meet all health and safety standards while providing a positive guest experience.
- Monitor and maintain pool water chemistry by testing and balancing pH chlorine and other chemical levels in accordance with health regulations.
- Perform daily inspections of pools spas and surrounding areas to ensure cleanliness functionality and safety.
- Clean pools spas filters and pool decks regularly including vacuuming skimming and brushing.
- Maintain troubleshoot and repair pool equipment such as pumps filters heaters chlorinators and dosing systems.
- Maintain accurate records of water quality tests maintenance activities and chemical usage.
- Respond promptly to guest or management requests related to pool areas and ensure timely resolution.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with local health codes and hotel standards.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Housekeeping departments for any concerns related to pool area maintenance or cleanliness.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in pool operation (e.g. Certified Pool Operator CPO) is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of pool equipment water chemistry and sanitation procedures.
- Previous experience in pool maintenance or a similar role in a hospitality or recreation setting is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and basic proficiency in English.
