Hours per week: 16 Hours Per Week with potential of incrementing

Position Grade: Social Worker Level 12

Salary: $73427.07 $85800.23 AUD Annual FTE

About the Role:

  • Provide highquality personcentred care to patients and their families ensuring biopsychosocial assessments and interventions are delivered using evidencebased practices.

  • Step into complex clinical work addressing the social determinants of health and effectively managing cases that require critical intervention.

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across multiple specialties ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness in a fastpaced and dynamic clinical environment adapting to evolving patient needs.

  • Play a key role in enhancing service delivery by promoting research quality improvement and education projects within social work services.

  • Take ownership of your professional development and contribute to fostering a culture of diversity inclusion and compassionate care within the team.

Selection Criteria:

1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincents Health Australia
2. Degree in Social Work and eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) with evidence of clinical experience in a tertiary hospital or health related field as a practicing Social Worker.
3. Demonstrated clinical skills and knowledge in psychosocial assessment counselling therapy interventions case management advocacy and complex discharge planning.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of crisis intervention short term solution focused intervention and grief and loss.
5. Demonstrated experience and ability to work as a member of multidisciplinary teams in a highpressure environment with competing demands with sound negotiation and liaison skills.
6. Welldeveloped time management prioritization computer written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to contribute to research projects quality improvement and education activities within the designated specialties and social work services.
8. Ability to participate in an extended hours on call service.
