Job Description
Position: Custodian (PartTime) 2nd Shift
Location: District Wide
Reports To: OperationsSupervisor
Schedule: 28.75 Hours per week.Flexible schedule options are available.
Hourly Wage:$ 15.40 16.50 dependent on experience

Position Summary
Custodians provide custodial services at assigned site(s); ensure an attractive sanitary and safe environment for students staff and visitors; perform a variety of special cleaning operations; and assist in preparing facilities for classroom activities and building events.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Clean dust and wipe furniture; sweep mop or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; replace light bulbs; refill restroom dispensers wash windows
- Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures
- Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed
- May set up facilities for meetings classrooms conferences events etc.
- May strip clean buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors vacuum and shampoo carpets
- Responsible for landscaping and snow removal as necessary
- Responsible for the security of the building during shifts
- Other duties assigned by the building administrator or Operations supervisor
Employment Qualifications
- EDUCATION:High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- EXPERIENCE: Preferred but not required; Working knowledge of custodial work including cleaning methods and materials and the use of custodial equipment equivalent to that gained in at least one year of experience or a combination of education and experience
- Previous experience working in a sanitation custodial or maintenance position is preferred but not required
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to bend twist stoop reach and kneel
- Ability to work at heights ascend and descend ladders
- Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand normal conversation
- Ability to hear and understand speech
- Ability to lift push pull and carry up to 75 pounds
