Job Description
(Senior) Manager Business Analytics & Insights (m/f/d) Oncology
Gilead Sciences Inc. is a researchbased biopharmaceutical company that discovers develops and commercializes innovative medicines in areas of unmet medical need. With each new discovery and investigational drug candidate we seek to improve the care of patients living with lifethreatening diseases around the world. Gileads therapeutic areas of focus include HIV/AIDS liver diseases cancer inflammation and serious respiratory conditions.
The Position
For our German business analytics team we are currently hiring a (Senior) Manager Business Analytics. The position is office based in Martinsried Munich and will report to the Director Business Analytics & Insights. The Business Analytics team is part of the Commercial Operations function.
Essential Functions:
- Designs and runs primary and secondary market research projects with decisive and actionable results
- Aligns cross functionally to address key business questions in primary and secondary research
- Synthesizes insights across different datasets for a holistic view of the business thus being able to provide actionable recommendations to the commercial stakeholders
- Acts as a strategic advisor to the commercial stakeholders by staying abreast of all relevant developments and connecting those with market research other data sets
- Creates regular strategic forecast on overall TA market and products and supports definition of consistent and compelling story
- Supports definition of relevant KPIs and dashboard reports establishes robust data sources and oversees analytics for senior management.
- Presents recommendations and findings to various stakeholders within the Commercial organization.
- Interacts with internal stakeholders ranging from executives to Commercial management to field sales team.
- Applies strategic thinking and communicates highly complex analytical processes in a clear and concise manner.
- Facilitates ongoing exchange with SFE reflecting commercial strategy and market insights affecting incentive plan resource optimization or segmentation/targeting
Knowledge Experience & Skills:
Essential
- Degree in business administration economics natural sciences or related fields
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Prior experience in sales/marketing analysis statistical analysis and forecasting
- Indepth knowledge of relevant software systems (e.g. MS Excel PowerPoint etc.
- Ability to assume full responsibility for accuracy reliability and timeliness of deliverables completed through own efforts
- Must be able to effectively communicate analytical information to nontechnical members of senior management
- Fluent in Englisch and German
Desirable
- Indepth knowledge of global Sales and Marketing organizations and pharmaceutical data sources (e.g. IQVIA Insight Health etc. is desired
