Responsibilities
Provides nursing assistance and patient care for the comfort safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties within the construct of a unit based self directed multidisciplinary patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non licensed members. Performs general clerical and reception duties according to needs of patient unit or department. Position is characterized by preparing and maintaining patient charts transcribing physician orders and entering information into computerized patient care system.
Qualifications
REQUIRED: 1. Listed as a CNA on the GA Registry OR a. Graduate of a U.S. Military Medic course OR b. Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program and Certified as a Registered Medical Assistant. If eligible must obtain certification within 30 days of hire OR c. Enrolled in a School of Nursing and has completed one 1 full semester of clinical rotations OR d. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Medical Degree program 2. Current BLS card (CPR) PREFERRED: 1. One year patient care experience in an acute care setting 2. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant Program
