Role Overview:
As a Meat Hygiene Inspector your main responsibility will be to inspect postmortem meat for any signs of disease or potential food safety risks. This role is based in a slaughterhouse environment so candidates must be comfortable working in this setting.
You will work closely with the Official Veterinarian to ensure that live animals are healthy before slaughter and that carcasses are thoroughly examined for diseases or contaminants. This role plays a vital part in safeguarding public health by ensuring the meat products are safe for consumption.
Key Requirements:
The position is fulltime working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.
