Job Description
- Relay task to team leader
- Check in to make sure team leaders are finishing tasks on time and correctly
- Monitoring performance quality
- Hands in completed paperwork to manager. Block Forklift and testing sheets
- Assist with training and tasks when needed
- Help improve processes and implement changes as they come
- Weekly/daily huddles with the manager as needed
- Take the initiative before the team finishes a task so the team knows whats next
- Hold team leads accountable and report any concerns
- Share the responsibility of staying late when needed
- Check with other supervisors in case they need help
- Report any issues with machines or workers to the manager for resolving
- Bring up any ideas for changes with the manager for discussion
- Be available to run any shift when needed. The manager will try to limit this.
- Daily meeting with team leads for daily expectation
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- English skills both written and verbal an asset
- Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team setting and maintain endurance over extended periods
- Forklift license is an asset
- Ability to operate sky jack & tractor an asset
- 6 months of working experience leading individuals or working in an agricultural/Warehouse setting
- Must have reliable transportation
- Greenhouse environment in a rural area own transportation required;
- Repetitive tasks a combination of standing bending walking crouching
- 35 55 hours per week shifts may vary between day and evening
