Job Description
Introduction
Our client a leading telecommunications company based in Fourways is looking for a Network Architect.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the deployment of the access metro and core fibre routes.
- To be acknowledged as 3rdlevel technical competence in network fibre planning and deployment
- Perform site surveys and create survey reports
- Planning of new access and core duct and fiber routes spurs and PoP site entries
- Create designs budgets BOM and BOS for fibre projects
- Audit and maintain as built records
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent work experience) in a technical field
- 8 years technical experience in the telecom industry
- 5 years in network fibre planning and design or quivalent role
- Optical networking experience including OTDR optical link budget calculations fibre types and testing
- Expert in GIS and OSS systems
- Expert knowledge of fibre providers their networks and products
