Job Description

The role of the Executive Producer is to manage and oversee the technical and artistic aspects of video and photo productions ensuring client requirements deadlines and budgets are met while representing the interests of both the company and the director. This person must plan and implement strategies and pitches allocate resources effectively and select the appropriate teams to carry out each projectlocally and internationallyas the company continues to grow beyond the Montreal market.

The Executive Producer is responsible for project budgets and margins and must ensure the financial health of the department and achievement of sales targets in collaboration with producers and management. They also work closely with Business Development to support client growth expand opportunities in new markets and contribute to the management and promotion of artists on the roster.

Main responsibilities:

Project management and organizational strategy

  • Lead as main contact opportunity showcasing Director photographer production services as the others complementary service of the division Post audio & experience
  • Develop production strategies quotes/budgets per project in collaboration with the heads of department in multiple markets  including Montreal Toronto Los Angeles.
  • Set up departmental procedures and provide the teams the best tools to deliver productions that stand out;
  • Ensure that the production process is respected;
  • Ensure to deliver a final product according to the quality standards of the company and directors.

Talent management and sales strategy

  • Lead talent and artist management by providing strategic guidance and support to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure the divisions creative vision is maintained across all productions
  • Actively contribute to sales strategies tailored to specific markets
  • Collaborate on and oversee the development of compelling pitch treatments
  • Support team leadership and foster alignment between creative production and business objectives

Operations and financial management

  • In collaboration with the producers ensure that the budget and project margins are respected;
  • Define the means to be implemented to develop business figures and profitability;
  • Negotiate major changes with clients;
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

Business development 

  • Build relationships with agency decision makers creatives producers;
  • Support the head of department by helping to set up a development strategy per artist;
  • Be on the lookout for new talent;
  • In collaboration with the head of department contribute to updating tools for the companys brand identity.

 


Qualifications :

  • A university degree in a field relevant to the role or any equivalent relevant experience;
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in advertising video production including production in Montreal Toronto and the USA or/and abroad;
  • Comfortable with advanced production technologies including virtual stages/walls motion capture AI etc;
  • Proficient with computer tools; knowledge of G Suite macOS Microsoft Office Suite and Dropbox; Familiarity with Slate Treatment Frame and InDesign is an asset;
  • Excellent knowledge of photography production rights & usage unions postproduction and audio in an advertising context;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various partners and stakeholders;
  • Highly organized with excellent priority and time management skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and rigor in managing both material and human resources;
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment;
  • Demonstrates initiative autonomy and resourcefulness;
  • Willingness and ability to travel for work;
  • Skilled at building and maintaining client relationships;
  • Effective and constructive problemsolving and conflict resolution skills;
  • Fluency in written and oral communication in both French & English.

The person in this role will work closely with our teams in Toronto and Los Angeles. They will also be involved in communications with our clients around the world showcasing Rodeo FXs technical and creative capabilities.
