Job Description

J.S. Held is actively seeking Consultant for the Construction Advisory Team specializing in Claims and Dispute Resolution in the Montreal Quebec area. We are seeking individuals that have a specialization in construction claims and dispute resolution. This position is for a professional who has knowledge or experience with contract and/or change order management critical path scheduling analysis preparation of change orders or claims cost analysis and quantification of damages review of drawings and specifications and other engineering and constructionrelated documents.

The work performed by the Consultant may include the review and analysis of construction schedules job cost reports labor records production quantities earned values project reports change orders contracts correspondence and other project records.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedule delay analysis
  • Loss of productivity/Efficiency analysis
  • Scope change assessment
  • Analysis of labor equipment and material costs
  • Calculation of escalated material and/or labor costs
  • Extended general conditions and requirements analysis
  • Quantification of unabsorbed home office overhead
  • Review and organization of project documents
  • Development of work product draft memos presentations and reports
  • Travel as needed to project sites and client offices

J.S. Held recherche activement un.e consultant.e pour son quipe de conseil en construction spcialis en rglement des rclamations et des litiges pour la rgion de Montral Qubec. Ce poste sadresse un.e possdant des connaissances ou de lexprience en gestion de contrats et dordres de changement en analyse des chemins critiques des chanciers et des s en analyse des cots et en quantification des dommages.

Le travail du consultant pourra inclure la rvision et lanalyse des chanciers de construction des rapports de cots des travaux des registres de mainduvre des factures des valeurs acquises des rapports de projet des ordres de changement des contrats de la correspondance et dautres documents de projet.

  • Dplacements ncessaires sur les sites de projet et les bureaux des clients

Qualifications :

  • Experience with engineering or construction firms or a construction claim/dispute firm
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or an Engineering discipline such as Structural Civil Electrical MEP etc.
  • Microsoft Office Advanced skills preferred
  • Bluebeam or other PDF management software
  • Scheduling software Microsoft Projects/Primavera Products
  • Analytical aptitudes and attention to detail
  • Critical thinking and problemsolving abilities

  • Teamwork: Works well within a team of other professionals;
  • Quality of Work: Has strong work ethic taking care to produce accurate work. Has mechanisms in place to check work and ensure the quality of work being produced is accurate and timely.

Qualifications

  • Un minimum dun an dexprience dans des firmes dingnierie ou de construction ou de rclamations/litiges en construction
  • Baccalaurat en gestion de la construction ou dans une discipline de gnie en structure civil lectrique MEP etc.
  • Connaissances avances en Microsoft Office (de prfrence)
  • Adobe Bluebeam ou autre logiciel de gestion de PDF
  • Logiciel de planification Produits Microsoft Projects/Primavera

Prendre les mesures appropries lorsque les dlais ne peuvent tre respects afin de garantir que le travail des autres ne soit pas compromis. Exploiter efficacement le temps non facturable.
  • Professionnalisme: Avoir une attitude positive faire preuve de fiert denthousiasme doptimisme et dun profond dvouement au travail tant auprs des clients que des collgues. tre motiv et prt relever de nouveaux dfis. Prendre la responsabilit de dvelopper ses propres comptences.
  • Esprit dquipe: Travailler efficacement au sein dune quipe de professionnels.
  • Qualit du travail: Faire preuve dune solide thique de travail et veiller la prcision du travail. Mettre en place des mcanismes de contrle et garantir la qualit du travail fourni lexactitude et le respect des dlais.
