Job Description

Salary: 60000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time 35 hours per week

Are you passionate about getting the right information into clinical systems to support patient care Are you a clinical informatics or ePMA pharmacist looking for a new challenge Pharmaceutical Press products (such as BNF BNF for Children Martindale and Stockleys Drug Interactions) provide health professionals with trusted evidencebased information about the use of . We are transforming this goldstandard clinical content into digital tools and machinereadable data for use within clinical systems. Were seeking a Clinical Informatician to help our team drive this transformation.
The successful candidate will work with our Content Product and Technology teams and use their knowledge of clinical coding and patientfacing systems to help define datafirst products and services that meet customer and health system needs.
Pharmaceutical Press is the Knowledge Business of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS). The RPS is the professional leadership body for pharmacists and pharmacy in Great Britain. Requirements:

  • Degree in pharmacy medicine or related clinical field or clinical informatics.
  • Demonstrable experience in clinical informatics or clinical decision support systems.
  • An excellent understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare delivery processes.
  • An excellent understanding of how content needs to be structured coded held and managed to flexibly deliver tools services and data for integration in both humanreadable and machinereadable outputs.
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience in clinical coding such as SNOMED CT and its application to data used for clinical integration (e.g. in clinical decision support).
  • Understanding of FHIR standards and their application in health informatics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in data curation and management.
  • Proactivity in identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.

The Team

Pharmaceutical Press publications are produced by a Content team of pharmacists pharmacy technicians and scientists with a range of backgrounds and experience. A team with a diverse workload we rely on good communication and work in a flexible collaborative way to create highquality medicines information for users of our content.

How we are currently working

RPS supports and works in a hybrid way which means you will be able to work from home however there will be an expectation for collaborative facetoface working on average and typically this may be something between 48 working days per month at our London Office
