What Youll Be Doing
At Shepherd Center our expert clinicians help patients get the most out of rehabilitation. In fact our patients are more independent and have better outcomes than the national average. As a PT/OT Aide at Shepherd you will be part of an amazing team committed to helping people with a temporary or permanent disability caused by injury or disease rebuild their lives with hope independence and dignity advocating for their full inclusion in all aspects of community life.
The PT and OT Aide assists the Physical and Occupational Therapists to prepare the environment and the patient for routine care and assists the patient with routine activities of daily living as determined in treatment plan. All activities are performed under the direct supervision of a licensed OTR PT COTA or PTA. This handson role contributes to the improvement of patient experience through rehabilitation services. This collaborative role addresses and resolves issues in order to facilitate patient recovery.

This position is a fulltime day/weekday position.
Hours/Pay Period
80 hours per 2 week pay period
Schedule Details
Weekdays 7:30am 4:00 pm some flexibility in start/end time.
Weekend Schedule
Some Saturday coverage may be necessary depending upon the requirements of the department.

A bachelors degree in exercise science health science biology or related field of study.
Required Minimum Certification
BLS required after appropriate time frame.
