We are looking for motivated and experienced Senior/Principal Civil Engineers to work on the design of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC) nuclear power stations as well as our future pipeline of projects. You will provide your civil expertise to successfully deliver our projects in collaboration with clients contractors stakeholders and our project teams.
The key responsibilities will include a selection of the following points depending on your technical experience and the position you take within our team:
- Providing technical leadership and team management to deliver work packages effectively.
- Coordinating and communicating on complex engineering problems between project stakeholders.
- Providing technical review and responding to site queries and requested changes in a dynamic and fastpaced environment to support contractor activities on HPC site.
- Conduct and review analysis of structures carried out in FEM packages (experience in using Ansys beneficial).
- Provide technical oversight of reinforcement detailers and review detailing models and drawings.
- Provide expert oversight and technical direction to teams completing the design of reinforced concrete structures.
- Developing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Supporting the business development team during the tendering process for our future project stream.
We would love to hear from people with
- Bachelors or masters in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Chartered with the ICE IStructE or with equivalent experience and willingness to obtain.
- Experience in the use of Ansys or equivalent structural FEM software.
- Experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design.
- Working familiarity with relevant technical Codes of Practice and Industry Standards (Eurocodes British Standard and ETCC the applicable code for HPC/SZC).

- Experience working on major infrastructure projects and can demonstrate ability to deliver high quality work packages to schedule.
- You enjoy new challenges and are keen to learn and willing to take responsibility whilst also wanting to support others within our team.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry based in the UK e.g. nuclear.
