You will join the recently created TRACTEBEL entity in the UK with ambitious goals and exceptional projects. The entitys mission is to promote TRACTEBEL as a key player in the UK nuclear industry alongside supporting and working in collaboration with our colleagues across the world.

As well as several prestigious and innovative nuclear research operation and decommissioning projects throughout Europe TRACTEBEL is also contributing to the detailed design of structures on the Nuclear Island at Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC). As well as our flagship projects TRACTEBEL also has a pipeline of other opportunities in the nuclear industry to feed our expansion in 2025 and 2026.

You will be part of a dynamic highly motivated and multicultural team. This position is a great opportunity for you to develop your professional and personal skills and contribute to project and bid management for globally recognised projects.

The OPPORTUNITY

As a Project / Bid Manager you would be involved with the full lifecycle of projects from defining specific tender strategies and summiting competitive and compliant tenders through to managing the delivery of projects in collaboration with clients contractors stakeholders and our project teams.

The key responsibilities will include a selection of the following points depending on your experience and the position you take within our team:

  • Lead the preparation and submission of highquality tenders and proposals which are competitive and compliant with legal regulatory and company requirements.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between sales tendering BD and other departments (Business Streams and Disciplines).
  • Leading bid or project teams providing guidance and support to ensure activities are completed on time within budget and to the required standards.
  • Developing and executing project plans including scope schedule cost risk management and communication plans.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and innovations to drive business growth.
  • Ensuring compliance with nuclear industry regulations standards and safety requirements.
  • Communicating project status and issues to stakeholders including project team members clients and senior management.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks.
  • Contract management including claims and variations.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Your Profile

To be successful in this role the ideal candidate would meet the following requirements and criteria:

  • Bachelors or masters in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • 10 years of experience including experience working within the nuclear industry.
  • Project or Bid Management experience preferably for major projects in highly regulated industry e.g. nuclear.
  • Commercial acumen to understand client and tender requirements and to drive competitive tenders.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Agile and selfmotivated with a focus on improving personal and team performance and able to generate innovative outcomes to challenges.
  • You enjoy new challenges and are keen to learn and willing to take responsibility whilst also wanting to support others within our team.
  • Proficiency in French or Dutch is not mandatory but is beneficial.
