Job Description
We are looking for an experienced personal injury case handler to join our claimant injury department based in Bristol. The successful applicant will be responsible for their own caseload involving a wide variety of injury claims including vulnerable road users such as cyclists pedestrians and motorcyclist and minor to moderate head injury claims.
A combination of office and home working will be required. The successful candidate will be required to work from our Bristol office 2 days a week. On the days that you are not working in the Bristol office you will be working from home.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and effectively running own caseload of personal injury claims;
- Pursuing claims through and outside of the MOJ Portals including preand postlitigation stages making full use of our case management system;
- Complying fully with agreed service standards;
- Communicating with clients insurers expert witnesses and solicitors;
- Attending and participating in weekly risk assessment meetings;
- Managing expectations of clients & effectively deal with any complaints that arise in line with Company policy;
- Attending and participating in weekly risk assessment meetings;
- Any other duties as required
Skills/Competencies required:
- Significant experience of handling a claimant injury caseload;
- Working knowledge of MOJ Portal processes;
- Knowledge of a Case Management System;
- Ability to work to strict Service Level Agreements;
- Technical proficiency in claims handling including litigation;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to analyse and research legal issues;
- Ability to organise and prioritise work;
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Law degree CILEx or equivalent qualification desirable but not essential.
A successful offer of employment is subject to a basic credit check & a basic DBS check.
