Engineering Specialist Controls



Responsibilities

Experience:

  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls.
  • Electrical Background (electrician or technician).
  • Related experience.
  • Familiarity with VFDsencoders network/Ethernet controls Profinet.
  • Cognex vision systems.



Qualifications

Preferred Requirements:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required).

Experience: 2 years of related experience.

  • Strong problem solving skills including 8Ds FMEAs and DMAICs.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot all body equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery.
  • ABB robotexperience.
  • PLC and CNC.
  • TIA Portal Step 7 Rexroth Schneider Unity 840D.
  • Ability to read prints AutoCAD interpret and modify electrical schematics.
  • Experienced in laser burning.
  • Strong understanding of conveyors system programming and gantry systems in addition to networking understanding Ethernet Profibus Profinet.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Simulation modeling exposure.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.
  • Lean Tools 5S Kanban Pokayoke and Value Stream Mapping.
  • DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience.
  • TQM and Kaizen Methods.
  • FMEA PPAP and DOEs experience.
  • Visual Factory Management.
