Engineering Specialist Controls
Responsibilities
Experience:
- Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls.
- Electrical Background (electrician or technician).
- Related experience.
- Familiarity with VFDsencoders network/Ethernet controls Profinet.
- Cognex vision systems.
Qualifications
Preferred Requirements:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required).
Experience: 2 years of related experience.
- Strong problem solving skills including 8Ds FMEAs and DMAICs.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot all body equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery.
- ABB robotexperience.
- PLC and CNC.
- TIA Portal Step 7 Rexroth Schneider Unity 840D.
- Ability to read prints AutoCAD interpret and modify electrical schematics.
- Experienced in laser burning.
- Strong understanding of conveyors system programming and gantry systems in addition to networking understanding Ethernet Profibus Profinet.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Simulation modeling exposure.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.
- Lean Tools 5S Kanban Pokayoke and Value Stream Mapping.
- DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience.
- TQM and Kaizen Methods.
- FMEA PPAP and DOEs experience.
- Visual Factory Management.
