Established in 1963 Strescon Limited has grown to become the largest precast prestressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada. The primary market covers the Atlantic Provinces the New England region of the United States and Bermuda. Strescon manufactures a wide range of both architectural andstructural precast/prestressed concrete productsincluding bridge girders wall panels complete parking garages hollowcore planking piling and deck slabs. Strescon presently has two facilities: 70000 . in Saint John New Brunswick and 50000 . InBedford Nova Scotia.

Strescon is currently seeking a Carpenters Assistant to work alongside our Carpenter in the precast plant. Possibility of the role growing into a more senior carpentry position over time.

Responsibilities

• Construction of form work for concrete precast
• Measure cut shape assemble and join wooden materials
• Work with resin fiberglass and body fill
• Sanding
• Other responsibilities as required

Requirements

• Must have own transportation no public transportation available
• Previous experience working in a carpentry role
• Ability to speak and comprehend basic English
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses
• An aptitude for reading blueprints
• Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical skills (addition subtraction division & multiplication)
• Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a measuring tape
• Willing to follow company safety protocols
• Excellent attendance and a positive attitude
• Must be a team player selfmotivated and able to work efficiently and safely in a fastpaced environment
