Willow Overview
Located on Alaskas North Slope in the National Petroleum Reserve (NPRA) the Willow project is estimated to produce 180000 barrels of oil per day at its peak. During construction Willow is expected to create around 2500 jobs with a majority of labor provided by union workers. The development is estimated to create approximately 300 permanent jobs.
The economic impact of the Willow project will be sizable. According to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) estimates Willow could generate between $8 billion and $17 billion in new revenue for the federal government the state of Alaska the North Slope Borough and local communities. The initial phase of Willow development will include a new Willow Central Processing Facility three drill sites pipelines roads bridges and supporting infrastructure.

Willow Central Processing Facility / Drill Site North Slope Installation and Commissioning
Willow will be a greenfield design including all processing facilities utilities drilling equipment camp and power generation.
The Telecom Engineer will be responsible for assisting with the design implementation and operation of all Willow site networks and telecommunications infrastructure. This position requires strong technical expertise in complex WAN/LAN systems wireless technologies and security protocols.
Your responsibilities may include:
Network Infrastructure Management:
Strong expertise in WAN/LAN and wireless infrastructure including microwave systems 2way radio systems Cisco Call Manager and CCTV systems
Design deploy and maintain the Process Control Network (PCN) level 2.5 3.5 networks
Design deploy and maintain a resilient and scalable network architecture in a large enterprise datacenter environment that supports business connectivity and meets service level agreements (SLAs)
Collaborate with the global network operations team to ensure integration of global IT and telecom strategies with Willows business objectives
Provide technical expertise for ITTelecom projects ensuring alignment with corporate and Willow BU standards
Plan and execute system upgrades and maintenance in alignment with Global Security Compliances with minimal disruption to Willow Operations
System Maintenance & Optimization:
Proactively identify and resolve network issues maintaining operational continuity
Monitor and optimize network performance addressing potential issues before they impact operations
Ensure systems are remain up to date with the latest patches updates and security configurations
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed of emerging network technologies
Operational Support:
Provide daytoday operational and technical support for all Willow site networks and telecommunications infrastructure and assist with the existing brown fields as needed
Ensure compliance with corporate security policies and industry best practices
Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Valid/Current Driver License
5 or more years of experience in networking principles and ITTelecom systems in a corporate enterprise environment
5 or more years of experience with fiber optic transport technologies
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work a 14 days on/14 days off rotational schedule on the North Slope of Alaska
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) on occasion to safely perform physical labor including climbing ladders/stairs walking standing stooping sitting lift and carry material up to 20lbs
Preferred:
Bachelors degree or higher in Business Administration Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or a related technical field or foreign equivalent
Industry certifications such as CCIE CCNP CCNA or equivalent in Routing and Switching
5 or more years of experience supporting a global network
1 or more years of experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Spotfire)
Advanced proficiency in Cisco LAN/WAN devices ACI Data Center technologies and SilverPeak SDWAN
Advanced knowledge of networking protocols such as MPLS BGP QoS and Traffic Engineering
Intermediate proficiency in Python Ansible and other scripting languages
Beginner knowledge of North Slope operations and expectations
Willing and able to adhere to ConocoPhillips safety processes and protocols
Selfdriven and proactive skilled at managing multiple tasks simultaneously while staying focused on the broader project objectives
Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills with the ability to deliver practical solutions and meet goals
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across organizational boundaries
