Senior Project Manager lead a small team of engineers focused on product development continuous improvement initiatives and testing. The ideal candidate is a highly engaged handson engineering leader who can work within aggressive schedules
5 years Aerospace experience preferred.
15 years overall experience required.
PMP certification and EVMS experience desired.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design development and testing of teamassigned deliverables
- Coordination with crossfunctional program leaders within Engineering and across functions
- Active participation in design reviews in accordance with department policy customer requirements and contractual specifications
- Development of employee personal development plans and team/department level succession planning
- Ensure adherence to department and company policies ethics and regulatory compliance and contractual specifications
- Provide recommendations and resources for continuous improvement activities
- Lead team in all aspects of product design and development life cycle including requirement capture detailed design layout test and verification activities focused on space domain product design
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with systems engineering safety and reliability team members and disciplinealigned design teams to achieve elegant and reliable solutions
- Provide design support for internal and customer funded R&D projects
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (typically in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws / regulations OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience OR In absence of a degree 14 years of relevant experience is required
- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing
