Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Extended School Year Instructional Assistant Pre K HSDATES: 7/7/258/7/25HOURS: MondayThursday 8:3011:30 amREPORTS TO: Director of Special Education or DesigneePrimary Function: To assist the special education teacher with the support of special needsstudents and implementing aspects of the may include: Carry out specialized instruction and support to assist the student toward progress on IEPgoals and work completion under the direction of the classroom and Special Education teachersin a general education classroom or separate instructional area Assist the teacher in data collection on student performance including all IEP goal areaswork completion and taught skills (grade work samples observation) Establish ongoing communication with the general education and Special Educationteachers Assist teachers with instructional activities including reteaching and remediation asnecessary Follow teacher directions regarding discipline turning in assignments bathroomprocedures and other systems Implement a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) if necessary and as directed by the BCBA Make modifications and/or implement accommodations (assignments projects quizzestests etc. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about studentsand their records Flexibility to complete other activities as assigned during the workdayReports to: Director of Special Education or designeeQualifications:Minimum high school work with special education children in a school training working with students who have medical : Hourly based on contractIf you have any questions please email Jessica Burque.
