The successful candidate willmanage a team of engineers and technicians oversee project ensuretechnical excellence and contribute to the companys growth by developingclient relationships and new business opportunities. Requirements
KeyResponsibilities:
- Lead and manage theGeotechnical Engineering Department ensuring effective team coordinationdevelopment and performance.
- Oversee the planning design and of geotechnical engineeringprojects ensuring quality timeliness and costefficiency.
- Provide expert technical guidance on geotechnical issues including soil androck mechanics foundation design slope stability and ground improvementtechniques.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients maintaining andenhancing client relationships and identifying business developmentopportunities.
- Ensure all geotechnical designs and reports meet industry standards andregulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the business development team to identifypotential markets and opportunities for growth and prepare proposals and bidsfor new projects.
- Identify and mitigate project risks ensuring that health safety andenvironmental standards are upheld.
- Manage department budgets resources and schedules tomeet project and company objectives.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers fostering a collaborative andhighperforming team environment.
Qualifications &Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer () in Alberta or eligibility forregistration.
- Minimumof 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering with at least 35 yearsin a consulting company.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles with handsonexperience in foundation design slope stability site investigation andground improvement.
- Proven ability to manage large complex projects including budgetingscheduling and resource allocation.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams with a focus on collaborationmentorship and professional development.
- Strong business development skills with experience in client relationshipmanagement and proposal preparation.
