Location:Oakville 100 onsite
Our client is rapidly growing and expanding their successful Franchise Business. Looking to strengthen their corporate headquarters they need a Corporate Accountant to support the VP of Finance. The role will involve overseeing general accounting functions for the growing franchised restaurant chain including monthend closing budgeting forecasting corporate governance and statutory remittances. This position is key in ensuring accurate financial records as the company prepares for significant growth.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Month end closing
- Quarterly tax tasks
- Annual audit engagement prep for external firm
- Monthly financials including P&L statements
- Budgeting
- Forecasting
- Corporate Governance
- HST filing and Payroll remittances
- Manage 1 staff responsible for AP and AR tasks
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience preferably within the food restaurant franchise or hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and best practices.
- Experience with Quickbooks and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational communication and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
