Job Description

Gateway Regional School District is seeking two Elementary School Special Education Teachers. Candidates will hold a current MA (K8 Student with Moderate Disabilities certification. Must have experience educating students with a wide range of disabilities including SLD ADHD High Functioning Autism Social Emotional. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver and manage academic and behavioral support and and Responsibilities: Supports students by providing appropriate accommodations and modification of curriculum for special education to ensure the rights of students with disabilities to be full participants in the general state and federal laws and regulations as they apply to special in the development of and oversees implementation of IEPs for lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each and maintains data on pupils academic growth keeps appropriate records and prepares progress with parents through conferences and other means to discuss student standardized tests in accordance with district protocols and to determine special education in curriculum development as duties as be certified by MA DESE licensure standards Mild/Moderate Disabilities Must have excellent communication written and interpersonal skills.
