Job Description

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Prevention Research Center and Department of Human Development and Family Studies of The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar who can assist with data analysis and publication of findings for our project investigating intergenerational intervention effects of universal schoolbased and familybased interventions along with some project management responsibilities. This project is directed by Drs. Greg Fosco and Mark Feinberg.

Applications are invited from individuals who are interested in a position combining some project management and data management/analysis with the opportunity to develop and serve as leadauthor on papers utilizing available datasets. Applicants who would like to pursue these positions should have experience in statistical analysis of longitudinal data with preference for strengths in advanced structural equation modeling and/or multilevel modeling. We are seeking applicants with a background in child/adolescent development family research and/or community risk and prevention as well as possess strong conceptualization and writing skills. Such an individual will be supported in developing an independent line of investigation.

This PostDoctoral position is attached to a NICHDfunded study examining the intergenerational effects of the PROmoting Schoolcommunityuniversity Partnerships to Enhance Resilience (PROSPER) intervention delivery system. The original project was a largescale communitylevel randomized trial of 28 rural and semirural communities in Iowa and Pennsylvania. At the start of the study nearly 11000 youth participated in this trial data collection has been ongoing starting in 6th grade continuing into their midtwenties. This project will focus on those young adults who have had children to understand the intergenerational impact of PROSPER for the second generation.

This is a limitedterm appointment funded for one year from the date of hire with the possibility of refunding.

Education and Experience:

This position requires a PhD at time of hire. Applicants to all positions should have relevant research experience strong statistical skills and a capacity to work closely with others.
