JOB SUMMARY

The Development Officer Special Events will manage plan schedule budget and supervise all events for the Saint Francis Foundations community fundraising efforts public awareness and outreach events. Volunteer management is a major component of all events as well as fiscal and budgetary stewardship to ensure fundraising goal achievement.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Saint Francis Foundation this position will work closely with other Saint Francis Foundation team members board members and Saint Francis Healthcare System colleagues to ensure the overall success of annual fundraising campaigns and strategic goals of the Foundation.

This role also serves as the staff advisor to the Friends of Saint Francis volunteer board and leads the solicitation efforts for each fundraising event. Additionally this position maintains relationships with corporate and individual donors vendors and community organizations in supporting the Mission of the Saint Francis Healthcare System.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinates all fundraising awareness and outreach events for Saint Francis Foundation.
Solicits sponsorships and other direct support for all fundraising events.
Creates proposals for event sponsors and recap reports after events.
Recruits and schedules volunteers for all events.
Provide leadership to The Friends of Saint Francis organization a group of employees and community members who help raise funds for Saint Francis Foundation.
Oversees all Friends board meetings subcommittee meetings and recruits new board members
Collaborates with other Foundation staff to support successful fundraising campaigns (i.e. colleague giving campaign end of year campaign Pink Up campaign etc.
Works with colleagues to develop operating budget.
Enters relevant and accurate data into the Foundations CRM Database to ensure proper donor stewardship.
Represents Saint Francis Foundation internally for key initiatives and externally for community engagement needs.
Works closely with the Marketing Department for all events and campaign promotion.
Undertake special assignments on behalf of Saint Francis Foundation as requested by the Executive Director.

JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Type: Fulltime Benefit eligible

Typical hours: Day Shift Ability to work on selected weekdays nights and weekend evenings as required.

Education:

Bachelors degree required.

Certification & Licensures:

N/A

Experience:

Experience with fundraising and data management systems.
Prior experience in event planning and management.

Prior experience in budgeting and forecasting.

Demonstrated strength in organizational and project management skills.

Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Ability to listen carefully learn quickly and work effectively in a complex organization.

Exceptional interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships.
