KBR is seeking a motivated goaloriented resultsdriven DevSecOps Platform Engineer to join our team to deliver an Enterprise Management solution for Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and revolutionize the way the DoD delivers software. The scope and seniority of the role will be determined by the relevant experience and demonstrated mastery of the applicant. KBR (formerly LinQuest) is the prime contractor on the MSEIT contract. By applying to this position you are in consideration for KBR employment. However you also have the option to be hired by one of our subcontractor teammates.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering Integration and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Space Forces Space Systems Command. We support the Space Forces acquisition of stateoftheart Military Satellite Communications systems providing global secure protected communications for our nations warfighters. Key Responsibilities:

• Design implement and manage secure cloud infrastructure solutions (AWS Azure).
• Automate cloud resource rollout using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with security best practices (GitHub Actions GitLab CI/CD).
• Help with release management and deployment of microservices in a Kubernetes environment (AWS EKS Azure AKS).
• Maintain and enhance helm charts for deployment of Dockerbased microservices
• Enhance logging monitoring and alerting capabilities using tools such as Prometheus Grafana Splunk or ELK Stack.
• Ensure compliance with industry security standards and frameworks (NIST 800171.
• Help with vulnerability assessments security monitoring and incident response automation.
• Work with developers to implement secure coding practices and application security testing.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize cloud costs security and performance.
• Develop documentation and training materials to promote DevSecOps culture across the organization.

• Qualifications:

Required:

• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or related field
• 5 years of experience in DevOps Security or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Proficiency with cloud security best practices.
• Proficiency with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) principles and tools
• Proficiency with administering Linuxbased operating systems.
• Handson experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python Bash).
• Proficiency with gitbased development workflows and pipelines.
• Experience with security tools such as SAST DAST SIEM and IDS/IPS.
• Proficient working in Agile teams and associated tools (JIRA etc.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Desired:

• Top Secret clearance
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java Golang JavaScript
• Knowledge of SQL and experience with database management
• Knowledge of IAM RBAC and Zero Trust security models.
• Security certifications (CISSP CISM OSCP AWS/Azure Security).
• Experience with serverless architectures and microservices security.
• Experience working in airgapped environments (IL6
• Familiarity with software supply chain security (SBOM Dependency Scanning).
• Familiarity with security testing methodologies and tools such as vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
• Familiarity with SATCOM spectral processing and EMI (Electromagnetic Interference)

Basic Compensation:$125000$160000 in California and $115000$150000 in Colorado

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge skills abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
