Reporting to the National Director People and Talent Services the Head of People Compliance will deliver compliance and governance outcomes within our P&C based People and Talent Services (PATS) function responsible for Payroll Systems & Data Talent Acquisition & Volunteering Employee contracts and Position Establishment.

This is a 12month Fixed Term FullTime opportunity based at our Group Head Office in either Melbourne (preferred) or Brisbane.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Implementation of a newly developed People Compliance function within People & Talent Services (PATS)
  • Lead the development of compliance programs employment and people related audits mandatory employment requirements Enterprise Agreement entitlements and other pieces of employment legislation
  • Respond to external audit requests from external regulatory bodies such as Fair Work VAGO and Auditors
  • Develop strategies implement and improve data integrity between the HRIS (Workday) Payroll (iChris) and time and attendance (UKG Pro) systems
  • A key owner of the P&C Risk Register whereby prioritising known risks and maintaining updates and changes
  • As a key member of the PATS leadership team participate in wider strategic planning and leadership
  • Preparation and presentation of reports for our Executive and Board
  • Coach lead and support the People Compliance team (dotted line reporting structure) and empower your colleagues to reach their full potential

  • Proven experience in a similar role including Compliance HR Advisory IR and risk management within a large complex organisation
  • Demonstrated understanding of Human Resource and Industrial Relations Legislation and practices
  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex problems and develop solutions
  • Ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Superior interpersonal negotiation verbal and written communication skills
  • High levels of professionalism and personal integrity selfmotivation drive and initiative
  • Tertiary degree in Human Resources IR or other relevant discipline and qualified by experience
