MedVet is seeking aveterinarianto join our team at MedVet Sandy. As an urgent care doctor you will workas part of a highly efficient wellcoordinated team providing care for pets on a walk in basis. MedVet Sandys schedule provides clinicians the ability to balance work and life outside of work with a traditional daytime schedule.
Urgent Care Veterinarian:
The primary role of theUrgent Care Veterinarianis to efficiently provide high quality outpatient care to patients with minor injuries and ailments. Responsibilities include all aspects of urgent care thatdonot require hospitalizationwith an emphasis on thorough andtimelycommunication with clients and referral veterinarians.Cases requiring more advanced care will bestabilized forclienttransferto MedVet Salt Lake City forspecialtyreferral and24hourcare.This is a unique opportunity for a smallanimal general practiceemergency orinternship trainedveterinarian to work in a teamoriented collaborative environment with the benefit of set shift schedules.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Assistwith theinperson and phone triage process.
- Supervisepatient intakeandevaluation.
- Provideprompt examination diagnostic recommendations and treatment to incoming patients.
- As needed stabilize forclienttransfer to a local MedVet Specialty/24hourER hospital.
- Communicate with clients and referral partners regarding patient status diagnostic and treatment plans estimate updates and followup care
- Engage in training of clinical service team members.
- Utilize existing templates whenever possible to efficiently complete discharges medical records and referral reports.
- This is a unique opportunity for a new grad or experienced veterinarian to work in a teamoriented collaborative environment with the benefit of set shift schedules.
Requirements:
- Licensed veterinarian in the state that the hospital is located
- Strong communication skills
- Desire to work in a collaborative teamoriented workplace
