Job Summary The BCBA will provide support to students their families and school personnel by coordinating and providing behavioranalytic services which may include behavioral assessment and intervention.
The BCBAs role may include the following functions:Assists in the development initial facilitation and followup training in Applied Behavior Analysis for school personnelFacilitates and assists in the development and identification of resources and support information for students school personnel and familiesInitiates and completes functional behavior assessments develops behavior treatment plans provides training on plan implementation monitors progress on plans and makes modifications in consultation with school staffConducts BCBA BCaBA and RBT supervision according to the guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification BoardProvides ongoing training and supervision of paraprofessional staff in implementation of behavioranalytic interventionsSupports the PBIS structure of the districts served including assisting with the development of data collection systems analyzing data and implementing tiered supportsMonitors student behavior for signs that may indicate a problem (e.g. profanity teasing bullying distress etc. and reports concerns immediatelyCompletes all paperwork accurately. Maintains data paperwork and communication to provide ongoing feedback and measure progressParticipates in staff meetings and professional growth opportunities as directedUses critical thinking skills and decisive judgment while working unsupervised or with minimal supervision including in volatile situationsAccepts personal responsibility for decisions and conductWears appropriate work attire and maintains a neat appearanceStrives to develop rapport and serves as a positive role model for othersPerforms prescribed activities efficiently with limited supervisionReacts productively to interruptions and changing conditionsExhibits consistency resourcefulness and resilienceExercises selfcontrol and perseverance when dealing with studentsPromotes a favorable image of the ESC.
