Summary
Under the general supervision of the director the manager is responsible for the daily management of the department. This includes but is not limited to operational financial clinical performance improvement program development and customer relations and patient care outcomes. The manager is the primary resource person for staff. Responsibilities also include collaboration with other departments of the Hospital to assure development promotion and maintenance of quality programs and services.
Education
Bachelors degree (B. S. in an engineering field (i.e. electrical mechanical) from a fouryear college or university and three years experience; or ten years related experience and/or training. Management training is desirable.
Certification Registration & Licensure
Licensure required: Valid New Hampshire Drivers license. Driving record from Department of Motor Vehicles and proof of insurance coverage which complies with organization and departmental Driving Policy.
Experience
4 years experience in field. 2 years progressive supervisory experience. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team as well as be a team member. Appropriate certifications licenses or registrations when/where required. Must be familiar with federal state and local codes and standards including but not limited to DNV Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and building codes.
Responsibilities
Recruits retains and develops staff and manages performance.
Participates in establishing and monitoring annual department productivity quality fiscal goals and
staffing.
Manages departmental core processes.
Responsible for customer relations and customer service initiatives.
Acts as a conduit for department and organizational communication among staff and others.
Leads department and interdepartmental teams.
Participates in and supports departmental and organizational change.
Ensures compliance with State Local Federal regulatory requirements.
Takes responsibility for individual performance goals.
Meet all departmental professional and technical requirements.
