DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position you will act as the primary reviewer for miningrelated permit applications at the Bureau of District Mining Operations specifically within the New Stanton District Office. Your responsibilities will include evaluating surface mining and NPDES permit applications as well as preparing the Record of Decision. It is crucial to accurately and efficiently input relevant data into eFacts. You will also be tasked with drafting deficiency letters that include regulatory citations identifying any issues that arise and proposing solutions to the Section Chief.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch.
- Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) parttime up to 3 days per week. In order to telework you must have a securely configured highspeed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in New Stanton.
- Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $67678 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
- This position requires the possession of an active license as a professional geologist issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers Land Surveyors and Geologists.
- This position requirespossession of an active Pennsylvania noncommercial Class C drivers license or equivalent.
Other Requirements:- PA residency requirementis currently waivedfor this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
