About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and resultsdriven Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead and optimize our fleet maintenance operations across Queensland. This is a pivotal role that ensures the efficiency and safety of our road surfacing and heavy vehicle fleet contributing to the overall success of our Queensland business.
Based in Brisbane and reporting to the Australian Maintenance Manager this is an exciting opportunity to lead a highperforming team drive innovation and enhance service excellence in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Asset Management: Ensure all maintenance services align with Downer asset management frameworks to promote fleet availability reliability safety and performance.
- Process Standardisation: Implement best practices for workshop facilities and maintenance processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Team Development: Mentor develop and upskill team members to foster a highperforming and engaged workforce.
- Customer Focus: Deliver strategic maintenance solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and fleet reliability.
- Safety & Quality: Champion a culture of safety and compliance enforcing protocols and ensuring adherence to health safety and environmental regulations.
- Cost Management: Identify costsaving opportunities oversee financial analysis and manage budgetary controls to optimize efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing enhancements in maintenance operations leveraging technology and best practices.
What youll bring
- Diploma in Business Management/Resource Management or a Trade Qualification (Diesel Mechanic/Fitter).
- Proven leadership in fleet maintenance across multiple sites.
- Strong financial and budget management skills.
- Experience in process optimization and service consistency.
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in maintaining of road surfacing plant and dangerous goods vehicles is desirable
