Interns will act as a part of the service line team learning and engaging each step of the way. You will gain knowledge of commercial industry terms laws and regulations processes and market trends taking your experience and knowledge back to share with your classmates and organizations.

Job Description

As an Appraiser Intern with Cushman & Wakefields Valuation & Advisory team you will gain meaningful exposure to the commercial real estate industry. This internship offers handson learning through direct involvement in property valuations market analysis and financial modeling while working alongside some of the top professionals in the field.

As an Intern in V&A at C&W you will:

  • Assist in preparing real estate appraisals and consulting reports under supervision.
  • Collect verify and analyze market data including sales and lease comparable demographic data and economic indicators
  • Support valuation models and contribute to the analysis of income cost and sales comparison approaches
  • Conduct propertyspecific research and assist with report writing
  • Participate in property inspections and shadow senior appraisers as available
  • Analyzing revenue and expense performance
  • Developing cash flows utilizing discounted cash flow models
  • Assist with administrative tasks and project organization

Education Skills and Experience

Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Real Estate Finance Economics Accounting or a related field.

Computer proficiency (MS Office: Excel PowerPoint Word)

Selfstarter capable of maintaining a high energy level and being a team player

Interest in a career path to become an Appraiser

Computer proficiency (MS Office: Excel PowerPoint Word)

Excellent organization and time management skills

Analyze qualitative and quantitative information

Strong attention to detail

Handson team player who has a strong orientation

Proven ability to participate in and influence crossfunctional teams

Ability to work well under pressure and to meet tight deadlines

Experience appraising commercial real estate a plus
