About Bridges of Colorado

Established in 2018 Bridges of Colorado places Bridges Service Professionals across Colorados 23 judicial districts to serve defendants (referred to as participants) in the criminal justice system who have significant mental health needs. Individuals with high acuity mental health needs are ten times more likely to be jailed and nationally there are three times more individuals with serious mental illness in jails or prisons than in hospitals. Bridges of Colorado has been identified nationwide as a promising practice that focuses on the whole person. It is intentionally designed to address disparities often experienced by this population in the criminal justice system. Bridges Service Professionals advocate for each participants inherent worth and dignity by centering their lived experiences and voice to ensure their behavioral health best interests. At its very core Bridges is personcentered advocacy rooted in solutionfocused collaborative practices intended to promote positive outcomes for participants.

Due to the high success of the program Bridges was legislatively established as an independent state office within the Judicial Branch in April of 2023. See legislation here: Bridges of Colorado Act 2023.

Fostering a compassionate and supportive team culture while enhancing the professional growth and behavioral health skillsets of staff members through direct supervision.

Supervising up to 8 employees in the regional manager job series across assigned district(s) or region(s). Responsibilities include training; planning assigning and directing work; quality control and time management of delivery of services. Leads or provides input into and participates in discipline dismissal and hiring process while modeling and amplifying Bridges culture.

Embodying the culture and vision of Bridges through all interactions with staff and particularly through supervision of direct reports.

Providing direct timely kind and constructive feedback to direct reports through ongoing performance management and staff development.

SolutionFocused by:

Ensuring leaders provide their team staff with appropriate supervision and clinical oversight. Providing supervision training and support to Bridges staff and other team members as appropriate.

Ensuring staff are equipped with the knowledge and support needed to deliver highquality care and support to our participants.

Arranging and conducting relevant training and continuing education of staff to increase knowledge and understanding of behavioral health needs and engagement techniques for person centered care.

Performing administrative and operational tasks as directed by supervisor to support overall function of the Office.

Balancing supervision of staff in addition to carrying out the mission and vision of the Office.

Collaborative by:

Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with community partners stakeholders and other healthcare providers across statewide communities.

Engaging in problemsolving with regional managers and additional Bridges staff by supporting meaningful and innovative solutions to participant barriers.

Collaborating with senior leadership on the development implementation and maintenance of program operations; centering participant voice throughout every step and promoting the wellbeing of individuals and communities.

Supporting regional managers with court and community partner relationship building to ensure quality service delivery and advocacy for social justice.

Supporting Bridges staff in identifying disparities in services and connecting with internal team members to advocate for underrepresented communities and ensure equitable access to care.

This is a dynamic position where the scope of responsibilities and duties will evolve and the incumbent should anticipate fulfilling other duties as assigned that are reasonable and necessary to fulfill the Bridges mission. The ideal candidate for this role will not only possess the ability to fulfill the outlined duties but will also be a proactive adaptable and capable contributor to the development of the roles scope and responsibilities aligning them with the evolving needs of the Office.

May supervise up to 8.0 FTE

Additional Duties Assigned to the Senior Manager Legal Services:

Ensure regional managers provide court liaison staff with appropriate supervision and oversight.

Provide training and support to regional managers supervised by this role and other team members as appropriate and directed.

Provide supervision to assigned staff on a regular and predictable basis and manage positive recognition coaching/development and/or disciplinary actions as needed.

In collaboration with Legal Director develop and implement policies and procedures related to legal aspects of all program models.

Represent Bridges during appropriate meetings and initiatives; modeling promoting and centering Bridges values.

Consult and collaborate on the ongoing development of Bridges initiatives to enrich and support the behavioral health best interest of the participants we serve.

With training and support be able to provide limited consultation and coaching to regional managers and liaisons on forensic advocacy empowering staff to understand and carry out advocacy in the court setting that supports participants behavioral health best interests while providing excellent customer service to our court partners.

Support Legal Director in the ongoing mission to ensuring a courtcentered lens in regional managers interactions with the courts.

Support regional managers in upholding high levels of professionalism throughout the organization.

Support regional managers in building and maintaining relationships with court partners across the state.

Work with Legal Director on courtfacing projects and initiatives as assigned.

Bridges supports and fosters a flexible workplace for its employees. Upon initial employment the supervisor will make a workplace determination which best suits the needs of Bridges and the employees role. This position will work from home with regular inperson requirements to meet business needs and regional and state travel dependingDJ1 on the particular assignment. Employees are expected to be readily available to meet business needs. Occasional travel to the Bridges office in Denver is to be expected. Reliable transportation will be required.

Compensation:

We are proud of our equityconscious pay scale for all positions providing livable wages robust benefits and meaningful timeoff policies.

This positions initial hiring pay range is $108609 to $124900 annually. For equity the pay for this position (and all Bridges positions) is based upon the costofliving adjustment for the Denver metro area. Actual compensation offered will be determined based on prior experience education knowledge skills and abilities relevant to the position. As a person grows in this role the full pay range is currently $108609 to $146622 annually.
