Location Working across the Anglian Water Region (Offices based in Hartlepool Milton Keynes Bedford Peterborough Lincoln Grantham Ipswich Norwich Newmarket or Huntingdon)

What will you be doing
An opportunity has arisen to join our Water Quality Team as a Water Quality Reactive Scientist. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their career within Water Quality or develop their skills in dealing with customers and our stakeholders.
Reporting to one of our Water Quality Managers youll be responsible for the delivery of an effective and efficient service to customers external stakeholders and internal teams. This will involve liaising with internal and external customers UK Health Security Agency teams and Environmental Health Officers both reactively and proactively.
As a recognised Water Quality expert within the business youll be required to help provide an effective scientific response to any operational water quality issues. This will include working to identify the root cause of the issue and advising on the actions required to minimise any impacts on public health. As part of any investigations youll be expected to lead on all aspects of liaison with Health Protection teams Environmental Health Officers and neighbouring water companies. Youll also be responsible for the delivery and development of customer communications regarding drinking water quality for educational purposes or during water quality events. As a member of the Water Quality Team you will also assist in the delivery of scientific training to other internal teams.
What do you need
Youll ideally be educated to degree level in a relevant scientific subject and have an interest in developing your career within the water industry.
Excellent communication skills coupled with experience of dealing directly with domestic customers are a key to the success of this role as is solid IT and problem solving skills along with the ability to deliver coaching and training and manage your time effectively.
Anglian Water offers a flexible approach this role offers you the flexibility to work from home and from an Anglian Water office. Your base location could be in any of the following locations; Hartlepool Milton Keynes Bedford Peterborough Lincoln Grantham Ipswich Norwich Newmarket or Huntingdon
