Position Summary:
Sinomax USA has an immediate opening for an experienced and creative Graphic Designer to join our growing team. Sinomax USA is a global manufacturer and distributor of polyurethane comfort products specializing in memory foams. Our mattresses pillows and mattress toppers are sold in more than 10000 stores around the world. We have facilities in Tennessee Arizona Houston and remote positions across the country. Our mission is to deliver comfort to the world with a focus on sustainability and USAmade products. Our team is small talented and agile. This position will feed your creativity while expanding on your skillset in a competitive market.
The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design possess superior prepress and file management skills and be able to translate highlevel creative briefs into designs that speak clearly to our target consumers across multiple brands. They will need to have an excellent eye for detail and the ability to create new design concepts based on established standards. They will be motivated selfstarters with the ability to work independently or with a team.
Position Description:
- Collaborate with creative leads on overall brand message.
- Meet with the marketing team weekly to discuss project developments and priorities to deliver quality work on time.
- Use colors typography shapes textures values and lines to craft inhouse brand standards for use on packaging and across social platforms and websites.
- Conceptualize and develop designs for various traditional media primarily sales decks retail packaging signage and pointofpurchase displays in addition to digital media like websites and ecommerce support.
- Edit and color correct product and lifestyle images in support of the above initiatives.
- Ensure all designs meet brand standards and accurately represent product or story.
- Test and review designs for usability and accuracy.
- Stay up to date with the latest design trends tools and technologies within the market and the field of design.
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design Visual Arts or related field.
- 3 years experience in a creative field with experience in print design.
- Portfolio of previous work that displays an ability to turn an idea into a visual piece.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite primarily Illustrator InDesign Photoshop and Acrobat.
- Proficiency in Microsoft primarily PowerPoint Excel and Word.
- Excellent eye for detail and design principles and ability to follow file management SOP.
- Excellent prepress capabilities with established skills in print and digital file prep and final proofing.
- Handson experience in content sourcing creation and management.
- Digital manipulation expertise for photo editing and correction of product and lifestyle images.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easytounderstand business and consumer terms.
- Creativity combined with a strong analytical and strategic problem solving ability.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and integrate into an existing team.
ADDITONAL DESIRED ABILITIES:
- Understanding of the basic bedding industry regarding visual and consumer trends.
- Social networking experience analytics tools and CRO knowledge.
- Adequate knowledge of web design web development and SEO.
- Extremely detail oriented.
- Knowledge of online marketing and understanding of major marketing channels.
OVERALL:
- Create consumer excitement and engagement with brands and product lines.
- Support key customerfacing products events and trade shows with print and digital media.
- Develop consumerfacing visuals for instore online and for tradeshows.
- Uphold the visual representation of the company especially regarding corporate branding and owned brands.
- Collaborate with the marketing team towards concept development commercialization and promotion efforts.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to interpret visual information and communicate effectively by phone email and facetoface interaction
Work Environment:
Works primarily remote/homebased where the employee is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment conducive to productivity that is free from distractions. The job is primarily sedentary with many hours of computer use. Must have reliable access to the necessary technology and internet connection to perform all job duties effectively. Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Education Experience/Certifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in graphic design Visual Arts or related field.
- Years of Experience: 3 years preferred.
Additional Information:
- Languages Spoken: English required.
- Provide a sample portfolio of work demonstrating ability to design on packaging dielines.
- Provide a link to sample of work prepped for press ideally packaging.
- Note that samples will not be shared stored or utilized for anything but review by hiring managers.
- Files will be deleted within 15 days of receipt.
Background checks and preemployment drug tests will be conducted.
