Job Description

MARKETING SPECIALIST

GENERAL SUMMARY
Our association management team members are the people powering progress for organizations that are in the business of bringing people together to learn connect and accomplish more. This Marketing Specialist will support AGRiP an association serving governmental risk pools and related organizations an organization with roots in local public entities and a deep commitment to being on the leading edge of using and equipping members to use AI. As the teams goto resource for all marketing work you will have the opportunity to deliver strategy and communications that keep this client marching forward and growing.
The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the clients social media strategy and presence; managing email marketing campaigns to promote membership programs and special events; website maintenance and delivering a regular cadence of communication to members and potential members about all AGRiP programs and services. This role demands strong writing skills creativity organization attention to detail and project management skills. The ideal candidate will enjoy content creation and social media management have a strong background in email marketing (with ability to learn new platforms) have experience with website content development and maintenance and possess the design skills to create visually appealing graphics and layouts using Canva. Importantly this is a writingheavy role!

In this role you would be joining a supportive experienced client team ready to help you learn the audience and become adept at the industry speak used in their space. Also Etherios inhouse marketing team will be a great source for tips insights and mentorship. They will also be your partner on significant creative design projects and more indepth website design.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Content Development
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the AGRiP audience programs and services.
    Serve as principal content developer for promotion and marketing of all AGRiP programs and services.
  • Write content for all AGRiP communication channels (including the website social media email and newsletters).
  • Edit the written work of others.
Marketing & Communication Strategy
  • Proactively develop and manage communications calendar for all programs and services to effectively share information with members.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase brand awareness member engagement and renewals.
Brand Stewardship
  • Manage and monitor adherence to brand standards ensuring consistent voice and messaging.
  • Recommend updates to or evolution of AGRiP brand standards as appropriate.
Email Marketing
  • Proactively manages enewsletter publication from start to distribution. This includes setting a distribution and production schedule curating content writing articles identifying content from interactions with staff prioritizing information to share with members managing approval process and email distribution.
  • Create and execute email marketing campaigns using Higher Logic Informz (or similar platforms) to drive conference registration membership growth and participation in other programs ensuring effective targeting segmentation and workflow automation.
  • Plan organize and manage marketing timelines budgets and resources to ensure all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of email campaigns making datadriven decisions to improve results.
  • Stay updated on industry trends best practices and emerging technologies in email marketing to drive innovation and success.
Social Media Management
  • Develop and implement social media marketing strategies and campaigns to increase brand awareness and member engagement drive traffic and generate event registrations.
  • Manage social media accounts create content calendars write and schedule posts coordinate reposts and engage with followers to build a strong online community.
  • Use Canva (or similar platforms) to create unique graphics for digital content.
  • Analyze social media metrics and performance to optimize strategies and campaigns for better results.
  • Engage with followers and respond to queries in a timely manner.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to provide insights and recommendations including analysis of members and key partners online social media presence and engagement.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry trends technologies and best practices.
Website Maintenance
  • Develop write and publish content for AGRiP.
  • Organize and manage a website update calendar to ensure the continual currency of the website.
  • Create landing pages for programs services resources and marketing campaigns in the Higher Logic website platform (or similar).
  • Create and post graphics on the website to complement programs services or other initiatives.
  • Ensure AGRiP is utilizing the websites functionality to its full capacity useful for the association and its members.
  • Develop recommendations to improve the user experience and implement as approved.
  • Manage technical issues with the assistance of Higher Logic support and IT.
Other Responsibilities
  • Provide support to develop and design presentations to be effective and engaging.
  • Working with the rest of the AGRiP team curate and develop content to be delivered by external speakers at AGRiP events and conferences.
  • Create and execute against an overarching communications content calendar that encompasses marketing and promotion across all communication channels.
  • Manage attendee communications for the clients annual events including preevent communications onsite communications and other supportive efforts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in marketing communications or related field.
  • 35 years of experience in communication or marketing.
  • Proven track record of successful email marketing and social media campaigns.
  • Excellent communication listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software programs.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to write within the boundaries of an established style guide.
  • Ability to work on and progress multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and demands.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
  • Familiarity with public entity risk pools and local public sector risk management.
    Video editing skills.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools including Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
    Familiarity with and excitement about using emerging AI tools.
  • Expert skills in Canva.
  • Experience creating pages and maintaining content within WYSIWYG website platforms.
  • Experience with Higher Logic and Informz.
  • Light HTML knowledge.
  • Proficiency in editorial calendar management and project management techniques.
  • Experience in marketing analytics and campaign design.
WORKPLACE LOCATION
This is a fully remote work opportunity. We would welcome Atlantaarea professionals to work inoffice 3 days a week in our Sandy Springs office.

Ability to travel up to 20.
