Excellent interpersonal skills and computer skills.
Familiarity with Outlook Word and Access databases.
Previous hospital PCA experience is required.
Ability to work well with a diverse patient population.
Knowledge of sterile technique a plus.
Phblebotomy experience is strong preferred.

IV care includes the latest innovative technology for placement and maintenance of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC) and peripheral IV insertion (PIV). The team provides consultation and training to the healthcare team as vascular access and infusion specialists. Patient and family education is a major function of the IV team. The IV Team is also utilized as a resource for phlebotomy for patients with limited venous the direction and supervision of the IV registered nurse the IV Therapy Technician assists the IV RN in clinical support functions that promote safe compassionate vascular access care and management that optimizes patient outcomes and promotes best practice in this IV Therapy Tech will function primarily in assisting the RN with the insertion of peripherally inserted central catheters .
Shift: 40 hours days and every other weekend
