As the Sr. Manager PMO you will support a team of professionals providing comprehensive project management for the and delivery of site assets/projects from early design or development through lifecycle management (LCM). You will serve as a crossfunctional leader ensuring all deliverables are achieved on or ahead of schedule within budget target and with quality that meets or exceeds business needs across the portfolio. You will establish and maintain the Rocky Mount Project Management Office including governance and tracking of portfolio level projects and site level Continuous Improvement will manage the team of project managers to lead projects or programs with moderate to high complexity using leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and influence high team performance. Responsibilities encompass strategic problemsolving project planning regulatory compliance and delivery team effectiveness risk management and communication management in addition to supervision of a team of project managers at varying experience levels.

The position will report directly to the Strategy and Operational Excellence Lead.

What You Will Achieve

In this role you will:

  • Manage development of project governance for the Rocky Mount site (including charters milestone tracking and critical path escalation etc. coordination of programs budget and related interdependencies.
  • Support resource forecasts and confirm appropriate team resources assigned for project/program support.
  • Lead and facilitate the identification of project/program issues and risks and drives resolution through a matrix environment effectively documenting decisions/rationale.
  • Provide assessment of milestone achievement investment triggers and go/no go decision points to prepare for governance presentations to support portfoliolevel decision making and prioritization.
  • Facilitate appropriate discussions leading to effective decisionmaking alternative development options including pros cons and risks.
  • Conduct lessons learned and afteraction reviews.
  • Provide managerial guidance on goals and prioritization issue escalation and performance management.
  • Accountable for Program level coordination alignment monitoring and reporting (T3 CI Loop Site Technology Roadmap Capital Projects) to ensure One Priority mindset across the site.
  • Support and lead change management efforts and part of driving projects to completion

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • BA/BS with 6 years of experience or MBA/MS with 5 years of experience or PhD/JD with 1 year of experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuesbased leadership
  • Strong project and process management skills
  • Ability to track performance against approved plans and react appropriately to unexpected outcomes
  • Strong people management skills with demonstrated abilities in teamwork problemsolving decisionmaking negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Experience in interacting with presenting to and partnering with senior executives and external customers
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and ongoing work activities of moderate complexity
  • Expertise in developing project schedules including key milestones and critical paths
  • Ability to lead and facilitate the identification of operational and project or program issues and risks
  • Strong analytical and business skills including financial acumen

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Masters degree with relevant pharmaceutical experience
  • Leadership in a project/program management team
  • Professional PM Certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or its equivalent
  • Proven ability to actively engage in resolving technical challenges
  • Extensive experience in a healthcare environment with global experience
  • Experience managing vendors including quality standards and compliance
  • Ability to work successfully and cooperatively with colleagues across multiple cultures

  • Ability to analyze data from detailed schedule and risk management tools
  • Interface effectively with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Able to effectively assist with problem solving

NONSTANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Limited travel required. Nonstandard work hour support of global conference calls 24/7 manufacturing etc. required when needed though not typical of weekly requirements.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $135100.00 to $225100.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5 of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
