SUMMARY:
Support the acquisition of technologyrelated supplies and equipment for the district. Operate under direct supervision and adhere to established purchasing protocols for processing price quotes and purchase orders ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the department. Abide by established procedures while carrying out general office tasks and clerical responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED
Three years clerical and accounting experience
CERTIFICATES LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:
As required by the Texas Education Agency
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of procedures for purchasing and invoicing supplies and equipment. Ability to work with numbers in an accurate and rapid manner. Ability to analyze and organize a complex filing system of bidrelated documentation. Proficient typing keyboarding and file maintenance skills. Ability to use calculator 10key by touch) printer fax and copier. Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets databases and do word processing. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interpret policy procedures and data.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Occasional absences are understood but regular attendance is required.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and sit. Repetitive hand motions and prolonged use of the computer are required of this employee. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and depth perception. Light to moderate lifting is required.
This job requires the ability to handle and balance multiple demands at the same time. This position also requires meeting deadlines with severe time constraints interacting with the public and staff and enduring irregular or extended work hours.
The employee must maintain emotional control under stress.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The employee regularly works indoors. The noise level is usually quiet.
