Occupational Therapist with Brockton Public Schools who will provide quality schoolbased occupational therapy services which includes but is not limited to assessment/evaluation intervention/treatment IEP planning and implementation discharge planning related documentation and communication between teachers teacher assistants related service providers and families. Responsibilities include: Knowledge of occupational therapy theories models of practice and evidence based practiceKnowledge in Sensory Integration theory and practicesAbility to recognize and treat performance deficits in the areas of activities of daily living student roles sensory processing skills executive functions and written communicationSkill in gathering screening and evaluation data completing checklists histories and interviewsSkill in effective oral and written communicationAbility to prepare and maintain accurate records and progress notes while maintaining complianceCompletion of thorough evaluation including muscle tone range of motion/mobility sensory processing visual motor and perception fine motor executive functions and functional activities of daily livingDevelop and implement IEPs to meet the individual needs of the child Attend staff meetings inservice training and continuing education courses as required.
