Job Description
Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer (ONSITE) will be based in Milpitas CA. The ME will deploy launch and sustain manufacturing production lines for industrial equipment machinery and power equipment. The ME will work on the production floor as needed to ensure our products are produced safely at the highest quality delivered on time and while maximizing efficiency.
Here is a glimpse of what youll do:
- Design and develop mechanical assembly processes for box builds ensuring efficiency reliability and quality.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including design engineering procurement and quality assurance to ensure seamless integration of components and materials.
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement to reduce costs improve quality and enhance productivity.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation including test plans assembly instructions and process flowcharts.
- Conduct root cause analysis on manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Train and support production staff on new processes and equipment to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Oversee the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor production performance metrics and report findings to management.
- Write and update work instructions and other documents (e.g. specifications procedures)
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
Here is some of what youll need (required):
- Requires a bachelors degree military training equivalent vocational training or equivalent experience (Mechanical Engineering degree preferred)
- MUST HAVE 13 years experience post internship
- Strong understanding of assembly techniques materials and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in MSWord Excel (proficient) and Web based tools such as Frontpage and HTML
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions design drawings and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment particularly in mechanical box build assembly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills able to work collaboratively across teams.
