DescriptionConnelly School of the Holy Child is a Catholic college preparatory school committed to the intellectual spiritual artistic physical and social development of young women in grades 6 through 12. Responsibilities include:
- Teaching high school level math courses (Alg. I Alg. II and Trigonometry Geometry Precalculus Calculus Quantitative Literacy Statistics)
- Providing an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual physical social and emotional development of young women
- Integrating technology effectively into classroom practices
- Participating in the school community with other duties as assigned
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Math department as well as with colleagues from additional departments to align teaching practices
- Pursuing professional development opportunities to continually grow as a Math teacher in order to enhance student learning
- Responding to the needs of Holy Child including service learning advisory program assigned supervision and other duties as assigned
- An active commitment to enhancing our school community through involvement with committees and in student life activities
- Effective and consistent communication with students parents staff and community
- Developing selecting and differentiating instruction to meet the needs of a diverse population
- Maintaining appropriate records and following required procedures and practices
Requirements- Bachelors Degree in mathematics or related field required with teaching experience in various levels of secondary education 612. Masters Degree preferred; MSDE certification preferred
- Successful math teaching experience at the high school grade levels
- Familiarity with innovative instructional strategies such as building thinking classrooms and visible thinking strategies
