CONSULTANT INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY PSYCHIATRIST
We are looking to recruit a full time Consultant Psychiatrist (Intellectual Disability Psychiatry) to work for a leading Trust in Northern Ireland UK. This will be for a 2 year fixed term contract to work full time 10 programmed activities per week) with the potential to extend at the second largest hospital in Northern Ireland with teaching hospital status.
The postholder will provide psychiatric service for adults within the trust area working closely alongside three consultant colleagues taking a clinical leadership role in the provision of a community and hospitalbased service for the assessment treatment and continuing care of adults aged 18 years upwards with an intellectual disability (moderate severe and profound) and mental health difficulties within the Trust area.
The postholder will be expected to contribute with teaching and training a range of professionals working with adults with an Intellectual Disability and / or mental health difficulties. The post holder will be encouraged to contribute to medical student placements and also to become a postgraduate trainer as soon as possible.
