Job Description
POSTING OF VACANCY
Teaching Assistant (Short Term Substitute)
Lawrence School
30 hours a week 10 months)
School Year
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma.
- Ability and desire to work with children with Special Needs.
- Ability to take direction from and work under the supervision of one or more teachers.
- Safety Care CPR and first aid training preferred or willing to be trained.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work in a small group and/or on a onetoone basis with students as assigned by the teacher.
- Willingness to be trained in specific behavioral techniques.
- Attend inservice training sessions that pertain to special education.
- Work with and support students and teachers in classrooms.
- Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the classroom teacher and/or the Principal.
SALARY: In accordance with FPS Substitute Rates
