Job Description
St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover NH is seeking a qualified Theology TEACHER for grades 912 for theschool year. The ideal candidate will: possess a strong subject background teaching experience and a solid understanding of high school curriculum in Catholic Theology. bring enthusiasm energy and passion to the classroom setting through a variety of teaching and learning practices. connect positively with both students and families. support the Catholic mission of the school and engage fully in the life of the school community. Support Campus Ministry initiatives. demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. explore collaborative and interdisciplinary teaching relationships with colleagues. use educational technology as a means for student gains and instructional design. Possess high level of emotional intelligence and and Experience A Bachelors Degree in Theology or related field is required with a Masters degree preferred. One to three years of high school teaching experience or applicable practicum/related program is Summary and ExpectationsUnder the supervision of the Principal and Department Chair the Teacher: assumes responsibility for the leadership and management of the classes they are assigned. strives to achieve the goals of the St. Thomas Aquinas Mission Statement the Catholic faith and values. develops and implements a daily instructional program according to the needs of the students and the established curriculum. recognizes and incorporates the rich diversity of the students in the classroom and their unique Godgiven talents to foster a culture of belonging. maintains accurate records of attendance scholastic achievement etc. as required by the school diocese and state. establishes positive public relations within and outside the school community. commits to ongoing professional learning and teacher who accepts a position at St. Thomas Aquinas High School commits to recognizing the unique character of Catholic education to support its mission and to educate the whole student where they are at as a submit a cover letter resume academic transcripts and contact information for professional references (including a current supervisor) to Stephanie Bolduc Manager of Administrative Services Candidates selected for an interview will also be required to fill out a Diocesan Teacher Application.
